What a radiology report covers, what to send, and turnaround.
A radiology report is a written interpretation of your CBCT volume by a specialist, covering the whole scanned field rather than only the surgical site.
What to send
- The full CBCT volume as DICOM — not a screenshot or an exported slice.
- The clinical question you want answered, and any relevant history.
What you get back
- A PDF report with findings, including incidental findings outside the area of interest.
- Annotated images for anything significant.
Send the complete volume even when your question is about one tooth. A report on a cropped field cannot comment on anything outside it, which defeats the point of having it read.
