How ordering works
Everything an order involves: what to have ready, the three screens you fill in, what you pay and when, and what comes back.
An order is one case: the scans you send us, the design we produce from them, and the files you get back. You can have as many open at once as you need, and each one keeps its own files, messages and history.
Placing one is three screens and takes about a minute once your files are to hand. Nothing is charged when you submit.
Before you start
- Your CBCT scan, as DICOM files (.dcm or .dicom) — or the whole DICOM folder zipped, which is usually easier.
- Your intraoral or model scans as .stl files, if the option you want includes STL output.
- The implant system you plan to use. Set your usual kits once in your profile and they are pre-selected on every order after that.
- Anything the designer should know: tooth positions, planned restoration, bone concerns, a previous case to match.
A ZIP is inspected in the browser as soon as you drop it, so you can see the DICOM and STL files it contains before anything is uploaded.
Step 1 — Order details
Open New order from your dashboard. The first screen asks for two things.
- Mark the implant positions on the tooth diagram. Upper and lower jaws are priced separately, so the diagram is what sets the estimated total you see at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the order option that matches what you need back.
The order options
- Treatment Plan Only — the treatment plan documentation. Requires DICOM files.
- Export STL — the treatment plan plus exportable STL files. Requires DICOM and STL files.
- STL + Stackable — the full package: treatment plan, STL files and stackable guide options. Requires DICOM and STL files.
- Radiology Report — a written radiology analysis and imaging interpretation. Requires DICOM files. This one appears only where the service is switched on for your account.
Step 2 — Project details
Describe the case in the project description. This is read by a person, so plain English is fine, and it is the fastest way to prevent a revision later — say what you want, not just what you sent.
Then upload your files. Drag a whole folder or a ZIP onto the drop zone, or browse for them. A checklist above the drop zone ticks off each file type the option you chose requires, so you can see at a glance whether the order is ready to submit.
- Accepted: .dcm, .dicom, .stl, .zip, and PDF, JPG or PNG as supporting material.
- Large scans upload in parallel and resume if the connection drops, so a slow clinic link will not lose your progress.
- Files inside a ZIP count towards the checklist — you do not have to unpack a DICOM folder first.
Step 3 — Review and submit
The last screen shows the service, the implant count, the option, how many files are attached and the estimated total, with your description underneath. Check it and submit.
Submitting does not charge you. The order is reviewed and quoted first, and you are only asked to pay once it has been approved.
What happens after you submit
- Submitted — we review the case, normally within one working day.
- Approved — reviewed and quoted. You pay by card from the order page, and the price is confirmed here before anything is due.
- Paid, then Assigned and In progress — the order joins the design queue and a designer picks it up.
- Preview ready — where the option includes one, you check a preview before the final files are produced.
- Fulfilled — the final files are delivered and ready to download.
- Completed — you approve the delivered files. Only your sign-off closes an order.
How the price is worked out
Price follows the number of implant positions you mark, counted per jaw: an upper-jaw case and a lower-jaw case are priced separately and added together. The estimated total updates live as you mark the diagram, and the final figure is confirmed on the order when we approve it.
Keeping track of it
Every order appears on your dashboard with its current status, ETA and files. You are notified in the app as each stage changes — and on your phone as well, if you have turned on push notifications in your account settings.
If something needs changing
Ask for a revision from the order page and it goes back to the designer with your notes. If we cannot proceed with a case at all, the order is rejected with the reason shown on it, and nothing is charged.
