Browser compatibility

What DUX runs on, and what you need for large uploads to work well.

Supported browsers

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge — current and previous version.
  • Safari 16.4 or later, on macOS and iOS.
  • Firefox — current and previous version.

Internet Explorer is not supported and will not work. If your practice machine is locked to it, use Edge instead.

For large uploads

  • Use a desktop browser for multi-gigabyte CBCT uploads. Phones handle them, but sleep and network switching make them slower and less reliable.
  • Keep the tab open until the upload reports finished. You can work in other tabs.
  • Folder drag-and-drop works in Chrome, Edge and Safari; in Firefox, zip the folder first.

For phone notifications

Any current Android browser works. On iPhone and iPad you need iOS 16.4 or later, and DUX must be added to your Home Screen — see Notification settings.
