General
DUX DSGN is a digital dental design service for dental professionals. We design dental implant surgical guides — single implant, multiple implant, full-arch, All-on-4, All-on-6 and stackable guides — from your CBCT and intraoral scan data. Every case is planned and designed by licensed dentists and delivered as print-ready STL files.
Yes. The DUX design team are licensed dentists, not CAD technicians working to a written prescription. That is the difference we were founded on: the person planning your implant positions has sat where you sit and understands the clinical decision behind the guide, not only the geometry of it.
DUX is for licensed dental professionals — dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and prosthodontists who plan or place dental implants. Dental laboratories and clinics that outsource their digital planning also use the service.
Not at present. DUX delivers the finished guide as a print-ready STL design file, prepared for production. It goes straight to your in-house 3D printer, your laboratory, or the milling centre you already work with. What you receive is a complete design, not a physical guide.
Most cases are delivered within 3–5 business days from the point your case is approved and paid for. Complex cases can take longer; if we expect that, we tell you rather than let a deadline pass quietly.
DUX works with dental professionals worldwide. The service is fully digital and fully remote — cases are submitted, reviewed, approved and delivered through this website, so there is no shipping and no time zone that rules you out. The website and all correspondence are currently in English.
Orders & Services
Single implant guides, multiple implant guides, full-arch guides, All-on-4 and All-on-6 cases, and stackable guides for multi-stage treatment. We design tooth-supported, tissue-supported and bone-supported guides, for pilot-drill and fully guided protocols. If you are unsure which is right for a case, describe it when you submit and we will tell you what we would do.
Sign in and choose New Order. You select the service, name the case, mark the implant positions on the tooth chart, describe anything the designer should know, and upload your files. The final step shows you everything you have entered before you submit — nothing is sent until you confirm it.
We review it before you pay. A DUX dentist checks that the case can actually be designed from the files you sent. If it can, the order is approved and you are invoiced; design work begins once payment is complete. If it cannot — an unusable scan, missing data — we reject it and tell you why, and you are not charged.
You can cancel a case yourself for as long as it is still in Submitted status, which is any time before we have reviewed and approved it. If we reject a case, you can edit it — replace the files, correct the details — and resubmit it as the same order. Once design work has begun, contact us and we will tell you what is possible.
You receive the treatment plan first, as a PDF, so you can check the planned implant positions, angulation and depth before anything is finalised. If it is not right, you send it back with your comments. Once you approve the plan, the complete set of print-ready design files is released to your dashboard.
A stackable guide is a modular system: a base that seats and fixes to the arch, and separate components that stack onto it for each stage of the procedure. Because every stage indexes to the same base, position is carried through the whole sequence rather than re-established each time. They are typically used in full-arch and multi-stage treatment.
Not yet. Radiology reports are listed on the site as a service in preparation, and the page will say so until they are available. We would rather show you what is coming than take an order we cannot yet fulfil.
Account & Billing
Pricing depends on the number of implants in the case, and arches are priced separately — an upper and a lower are two guides. You see the exact price for your case before any payment is taken. There are no setup fees and no subscription.
After we have reviewed and approved your case, and before design work begins. This is deliberate: you are never charged for a case we have not first confirmed we can design from the files you sent.
All major credit and debit cards, processed through Stripe. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach or pass through DUX servers.
No. There is no subscription, no membership and no minimum volume. You pay per case, for the cases you send.
You are not charged. Every case is reviewed by a DUX dentist before payment is requested, so a case we cannot design from the files supplied is rejected at that point rather than after you have paid. We tell you what was missing so you can resubmit if you want to.
Open your account settings from the profile menu. You can update your contact details, your practice information and your preferred implant kits there — the kit preference is carried into new cases, so it is worth setting once.
Technical Support
A CBCT scan exported as DICOM, and your intraoral or model scans as STL. You can send a DICOM series inside a ZIP file rather than as hundreds of loose files. Accepted formats are .dcm, .dicom, .stl, .zip, .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg and .png — the last three are for photographs and supporting documents, not for planning data.
The CBCT should cover the whole treatment area with enough margin to see the relevant anatomy, and the scans should be free of major artefacts. Rather than turn you away on a specification, we check this ourselves: your case is reviewed before payment, so if a scan is not usable for planning we tell you before you are charged.
The three common causes: the file type is not one we accept; the file is larger than the size limit; or the file contents do not match the extension, which usually means a corrupted or renamed export. We check the contents of every file before the upload starts, so you are told what is wrong in seconds rather than at the end of a long transfer. Large files upload in parts and resume where they left off if your connection drops.
Every case shows its current status in your dashboard: Submitted, Approved, Paid, Assigned, In Progress, Preview Ready, Fulfilled and Completed. You also receive an email — and a push notification, if you have installed the app — whenever the status changes, so you do not have to keep checking.
Yes. Completed cases stay in your dashboard and can be downloaded again at any time, individually or as a ZIP of the whole case. Files stay in fast storage for 90 days after a case is completed and move to long-term archival storage after that — they remain available to you either way.
Any current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, on desktop or mobile. DUX can also be installed to your phone or tablet home screen from the browser menu, which is what enables push notifications on iOS.
Security & Privacy
Everything you send travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection, which the site enforces. Files are stored in Amazon S3 and are never publicly accessible — every download is served through a signed, expiring link issued only to your account. Access is limited to you and the DUX team member handling your case, and every uploaded file is inspected and validated before it is accepted.
No. The patient name on a case is a label for your own reference — it is what lets you find a case later without hunting through order numbers — and nothing in our workflow requires it to be a real name. If your practice would rather not send identifying details, use your own internal case reference instead.
We do not claim HIPAA compliance. DUX is a new company and has not yet completed a formal HIPAA assessment, and we would rather tell you that plainly than imply otherwise. If your practice requires a Business Associate Agreement before sending patient data, contact us at info@duxdsgn.com and we will tell you honestly where we are. In the meantime, you can submit cases without identifying patient details — see the question above.
Files are retained rather than deleted. For 90 days after a case is completed they stay in fast storage so you can download them immediately; after that they move to long-term archival storage and remain available. If you need your data removed entirely, contact us at info@duxdsgn.com and we will handle it as a deletion request.
Open Account settings, then Security, and choose Close my account. You are signed out everywhere immediately — and nothing is destroyed: sign back in within 90 days and your account and cases are restored exactly as they were. Any case already paid for and in progress is still completed. Completed case files are retained under the policy above; if you need them erased entirely, email info@duxdsgn.com and say so, as that is a separate request.
